In short: one essential sign-in cookie, one two-minute welcome cookie, and two small browser-storage items for your age check and cookie choice. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary

gh_sid — session cookie set by our server when you sign in. Keeps you signed in; HTTP-only and secure; deleted when you close the browser or sign out.
gh_login — set for up to two minutes after a successful sign-in so the page can show your welcome message; then deleted.
Local storage: gh_age_ok — remembers that you confirmed you are 18+ in the UK so we don't ask on every page.
Local storage: gh_cookies — remembers your choice on the cookie bar.
Session storage: gh_t0 — the start time of your visit, for the session timer in the footer.

Third parties

Google Sign-In may set cookies on google.com domains if you use it.
Google Fonts is loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and does not set cookies.
Our games load from our own domain inside each game page and may use browser storage to remember game settings.

Managing cookies

Use the cookie bar (or "Cookie settings" in the footer) to choose essential only or accept all. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings; you will then be asked to confirm your age again and will be signed out.
